Our typical candidate has an undergraduate or advanced degree in economics from a top program with coursework focused on applied microeconomics, financial economics, and/or econometrics. Demonstrated experience using any of the major data analysis programming tools such as Stata, SAS, R, or Python is also strongly preferred.
The Career Path
Research Analyst
The entry point for undergraduates and those with limited work experience, Analysts are primarily responsible for research, data collection, and analysis, as well as drafting reports and presentation materials.
Senior Analyst
Senior Analysts have demonstrated sufficient skill to take on additional responsibility and autonomy.
Consultant
The typical entry point for professionals with M.B.A and Ph.D. degrees. Consultants are responsible for project design and execution, supervising Research Analysts, and interfacing with case managers, clients, and experts.
Senior Consultant
Senior Consultants have demonstrated strong aptitude in most or all these areas and have potential as case managers or experts.
Director
Case management, report writing, client relations, and working with experts are the primary responsibilities of Directors, who may also begin their own testifying careers.
Managing Director
Managing Directors and Senior Managing Directors are responsible for managing the firm’s largest engagements, serving as testifying experts, developing new business opportunities, and determining firm strategy and decision-making.
