Joban earned his B.A. in Quantitative Economics with a concentration in Statistics and Data Science from St. Olaf College. During college, he worked as a research assistant to a macroeconomics professor, where he researched economic growth issues in an international context. He presented the findings of their research at an economic conference in Houston.
Prior to joining Coherent, Joban worked as an analyst at an economic consulting firm. There, he was primarily involved in antitrust and competition, intellectual property, and class action cases in the technology and healthcare space.
