Dr. Ashley Zhou has over a decade of experience applying microeconomic and financial principles, along with econometric analysis, to issues arising in complex business litigation. Her antitrust casework includes matters related to market definition, market power, class certification, and damages across a wide range of industries. Her finance casework spans consumer finance, valuation and appraisal, transfer pricing and corporate tax disputes, and 10b-5 securities fraud class actions. In intellectual property, she has worked on matters involving patent infringement, misappropriation of trade secrets, and other unfair competition claims.
Across these fields, Dr. Zhou has extensive experience leading teams of consultants in empirical analyses of economic issues and supporting experts and clients throughout all phases of litigation and regulatory review. As a testifying economist, she has issued an expert report and provided deposition testimony on antitrust issues in federal litigation.
Dr. Zhou holds a B.A. in Finance and Banking from Peking University and an M.A. and Ph.D. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She is also a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA®).
