Crain’s Chicago Business partnered with Workforce Research Group to survey thousands of employees and their employers on the working conditions, benefits, and corporate culture that make a company a great place to work. Winners were determined by the results of Workforce Research Group’s weighted surveys in a two step process. The first step consisted of evaluating each participating company’s workplace policies, practices, and demographics, and was worth approximately 20% of the overall evaluation. The second step consisted of employee surveys to assess their experiences and attitudes, and was worth approximately 80% of the overall evaluation.
